Upstager Consulting Inc ("LoveJoy," "we," "us") operates the LoveJoy mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using LoveJoy you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are and how to contact us

2. Information we collect
You give us directly: name, date of birth/age, email (including via Sign in with Apple), profile photos, bio, interests, gender and the preferences you set, and the content of messages and date proposals you send.
Date Rating data: the ratings, dimensions, notes, and date history you create in the app, including dates you log from before you joined.
Location: with your permission, your approximate or precise location, used to show distance and nearby matches. You can change this in your device settings.
Safety features: information you add as emergency contacts and any Safety Check-In or report you submit.
Purchases: subscription status for LoveJoy+. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit; we do not receive your full card details.
Automatically: device and app information, identifiers, diagnostics, and usage activity needed to run and improve the Service.
From Apple: when you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier and the email (or relay email) you choose to share.
3. Sensitive information
Profile details you choose to share (for example, who you are interested in) may reveal or imply information some laws treat as sensitive. Where required, we rely on your explicit consent to process this information so we can provide matching, and you can withdraw consent or edit/remove this information at any time.
4. How we use your information
To create and run your account; show and rank potential matches; enable chat and date proposals; power the Date Rating System, history, and Insights; operate badges and premium features; keep the Service safe (preventing fraud, abuse, and harmful behavior, and supporting safety tools); provide support; comply with law; and, where permitted, send you service and marketing communications you can opt out of.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (running the Service), with your consent (e.g., precise location, sensitive profile data, marketing), for our legitimate interests (safety, security, improving the Service), and to meet legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
7. Age requirement
You must be 18 or older to use LoveJoy. We apply an age gate at sign-up and do not knowingly allow or collect data from minors. If we learn that someone under 18 has used the Service, we will remove the account and associated data. If you believe a minor is using LoveJoy, contact mogusaibot@gmail.com.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising, profiling, or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. To make a request, use in-app controls or contact mogusaibot@gmail.com; we will verify and respond as the law requires. You can also manage location and notification permissions in your device settings, and edit or delete profile content in the app.
9. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for as long as necessary to meet legal, safety, security, and dispute-resolution needs, after which we delete or anonymize it.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
12. Third-party links and services
The Service relies on third parties (including Apple) and may link to others. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
